Realtek Company offers drivers for the ICs. When we talk about Microphone, the company offers Realtek microphone driver for Windows 10/8.1/8 or other version Windows Operating System based devices. The Microphone driver is required to communicate your microphones with your Operating System. I downloaded the Windows 8.1 audio driver from the link you gave me. I right clicked on setup.exe and enabled compatibility mode for Windows 8 (the option for Windows 10 wasn't there), ran the installer, then I restarted my computer. I still can't see Realtek audio in device manager, nor am I able to see my speakers in the sound panel. After version updates/service packs within Microsoft Windows 10 versions or even major upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8 there has been a plague of issues related to Realtek sound device chipsets being removed during the process, even though the drivers for these earlier Operating Systems is the same, they get removed sometimes.
